Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin has announced a unity march in Chennai to pay tribute to the courage and sacrifices of the Indian Army, following recent military action targeting terrorist camps in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
The march will take place on Saturday, beginning at 5 p.m. from the Office of the Director General of Police (DGP) and concluding at the War Memorial on Marina Beach. The initiative is meant to serve as a public display of solidarity with the armed forces.
In his official statement, CM Stalin emphasized the importance of standing united as a nation during critical times. “This is a defining moment for us to express our unwavering support for the Indian Army, which continues to protect the country from cross-border threats and terrorism,” he said.
The unity march will feature participation from retired military personnel, state ministers, students, and the general public. CM Stalin called on citizens from all corners of Tamil Nadu to join the march in large numbers to showcase the state’s commitment to national unity and to honour the bravery of Indian soldiers.
“Let Tamil Nadu send a powerful message of unity and support to our armed forces,” Stalin urged.
