Popular television actress Dipika Kakar, best known for her roles in hit serials and her recent appearance in Celebrity MasterChef India, has been diagnosed with a large liver tumour. The health update was revealed by her husband and fellow actor Shoaib Ibrahim in his latest vlog, leaving fans concerned and praying for her speedy recovery.
Health Issues Lead to Early Exit from Show
Dipika Kakar had recently made a much-awaited comeback to television after five years through Celebrity MasterChef India. However, she made a voluntary exit from the show citing health reasons — a decision that now seems rooted in the growing health crisis she was silently facing.
Shoaib Opens Up: "The Tumour Is Tennis Ball-Sized"
In his vlog, Shoaib shared a detailed timeline of how Dipika's health concerns unfolded. He revealed that while he was in Chandigarh, Dipika began experiencing stomach pain, which was initially believed to be due to acidity.
"She started having pain in her stomach and initially we thought it was due to acidity. Our family doctor gave her antibiotics and recommended blood tests," Shoaib said.
The couple hoped the antibiotics would help, and Dipika did feel better for a brief time. However, the pain soon returned, and the subsequent test reports revealed signs of infection in her body.
Their doctor then advised a CT scan, which ultimately uncovered the shocking diagnosis: a tumour in the left lobe of her liver, roughly the size of a tennis ball.
"It was very shocking for us," Shoaib admitted with visible concern.
Initial Reports Suggest Tumour is Benign
The actor reassured fans that preliminary medical reports suggest the tumour is benign, which means it is non-cancerous. However, they are currently awaiting more detailed reports to understand the nature of the tumour and determine the next steps in treatment.
Dipika has now been advised hospitalization for further evaluation and care.
A Difficult Time for the Family
Dipika and Shoaib, who married in February 2018 in Bhopal, have always been open with their fans through vlogs and social media. The couple welcomed their son Ruhaan in 2023 and have often shared their joy of parenthood with their online community.
Shoaib, while staying positive, requested everyone to keep Dipika in their thoughts and prayers as they navigate this challenging phase.
Fans React with an Outpouring of Support
As the news spread, fans took to social media to express their shock, support, and well wishes for the actress. The hashtag #PrayForDipika started trending, with countless messages flooding in for her speedy recovery.
