Meteorological departments have warned residents of continued downpours over the next 24 to 48 hours, urging caution especially in low-lying and flood-prone localities. Several parts of the city have already reported water accumulation on roads, affecting traffic flow and daily commute.

In response, the municipal authorities have deployed emergency response teams to clear blocked drains and ensure smooth water drainage. Pumps and other flood-fighting equipment are being used in critical areas to prevent flooding of residential and commercial zones.

Citizens have been advised to stay indoors where possible, avoid venturing into waterlogged streets, and follow official updates for safety instructions. The administration is also monitoring the situation closely, coordinating with disaster management teams to provide timely assistance.

As Bengaluru grapples with this intense weather event, officials stress the importance of community cooperation and preparedness to overcome the challenges posed by the heavy rainfall.
